Hey everyone,

Well, the shipment of books arrived at its first destination: our team in New York. We had some hiccups along the way since our last update, mainly payments being lost and found but all is good and the books arrived safely. Except….

Wait, why aren't you celebrating?

To put it bluntly, this shipment of books is garbage. They do not meet the quality of either of the test prints we received and the QC pictures we were shown did not convey the actual quality of the book. We are seeking a reprint for the same quality of the sample books we received or a full refund.

Are they really that bad?

Yeah. What it looks like is that something went wrong with the print run. We fully expect that these issues were accidental in nature, but a lack of quality control is clearly evident. The ink makes pages stick together, the ink peels off the page in several places, and in some occurrences when pages are separated, they tear. In addition, there are serious issues with many of the spines, where the glue holding it all together simply lets go, leaving only the end leaves supporting the weight of the pages. At least one of the books' spines came off entirely because of this. Needless to say, we’re quite disappointed and will be filing complaints as we go.

We will let you know more as we know more. Thank you once again for enduring with us through this process.

But we do have one good thing for this update. As requested, we have released a map of Feneryss without the break in the middle. And it’s FREE. Some of you may have already found it by now on DrivethruRPG.

IT'S ALIIIIIIIIIIIIVE

Hey folks!  

So the New York crew hasn’t received the books just yet, but we are happy to say that they have arrived at the Port of New York! Our payment to customs and a freight company is processing and should be handled by the end of next week. So all in all, pretty good.

Our Timeline

As you can imagine, the timeline is slipping slightly but we’re still in the ballpark. We expect to have the books to the New York crew by the end of the month and have them start sorting for shipment to Amazon. That means we’ll have another update when the books are officially shipped to Amazon, our distributor for the Kickstarter and Backerkit books. We’re estimating mid March for their arrival to you if you’re within the United States. We would make a tentative guess that our international backers will receive their books by the end of March or early April. We’ll keep you in the loop.

Launch Party

We plan to have a launch party around the time we send it to Amazon! If you were one of the 3 people who had a tier with the Launch party, we’ll be in contact shortly to discuss our plans and loop you in if you’re still interested in joining us and being a part of the launch. For everyone else, you can watch it on the livestream! We’ll let you know as we get closer what day and time that will be. The PDFs As a friendly reminder, if you haven’t received your PDF of Shattered that we released back in November and then re-released in December before sending it to the printer, please check your email for a Backerkit distribution email. If you can’t find said email, let us know via Kickstarter, Backerkit email, or our Discord and we’ll help you get your hands on a copy of the PDF.

But I want more copies!

Never fear! We have a shop where you can buy additional PDFs or Hardcover copies! Please note that until we finish processing the Kickstarter and Backerkit orders, the Hardcover copy will remain a Pre-Order and will be processed after we fulfill our reward tiers.

Didn’t you promise a Campaign Book?

Why yes, astute and elephantine memoried person, we did indeed promise to put out a Campaign Book! We are working on updating 4 of our campaigns into a 4 chapter continuous campaign book for your enjoyment! We will be releasing Chapter 1 to Backers and those on Discord to playtest. Currently, we plan on releasing them each chapter as we finish them for playtest/stress-test purposes before compiling them all into a snazzy PDF for free. If you’re hoping for a hardcopy (most likely softcover), we haven’t decided exactly the specs of the book yet but most likely we will be selling it through DriveThruRPG.

Art

Speaking of the Campaign Book, we are working towards getting a bit of unique art for the Campaign Book that will double as our banner for future conventions! Stay tuned for more details!

Speaking of conventions…..

Conventions

Currently, the New York Crew consisting of Nkdotzip, Lost Abyss, and Lithairian are planning to attend (with booth) at Flower City Comic Con (Rochester, New York) in early June. Tex is hoping to attend (sans booth) MagCon (New Caney, TX) in early April and RTX (Austin, TX) in early August. We hope to see you there!

Fillable Character Sheet

Hey folks!

For the last 3 weeks we've been beta testing our fillable form PDF character sheet on our Discord. Thanks to the help of several backers, we are proud to release the initial official sheet!

Because the character sheet was the priority, the other sheets (Creature, Airship, Mastermind) are in the works but currently have no ETA.

Year End Wrap-up

Hey folks!

Thank you all for a wonderful 2017!

This year we saw 10 Pre-Releases and our Version 1 release! After more than 6 years of development, we are excited to announce that Shattered has been printed! Our printer in China will be sending us the books in the new year. We are still on track for our shipment. Here is a sample of the printed product for your viewing pleasure:

We would like to thank each and every one of you for sticking with us since our Spring 2015 Kickstarter. While we don’t know what the future holds for INDE or Shattered, we can tell you we have numerous ideas in store.

Happy Holidays, Printing, and Re-Release

Hey everyone!  

First off, Happy Holidays! We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season!

We are proud to announce that we have finalized the contract, payment, and approved the proof from our printer. But this still leaves the question “when will the book be in my hands?” Well, you're in luck! They also sent us a timeline for the book. They will begin printing December 29, 2017 and it will take about a week to print. The longest part of this will be the shipping. It will arrive in our hands on February 5, 2018. From there, it should take about 7-10 days to get the books to Amazon and then 7-14 days from Amazon to your hands! Which means that if everything goes to plan, you should have the book in your hands by the end of February.

1.0.0 Re-Release

Tonight you should see an email about another release of the Core PDF. We have done this for a couple of reasons. First, we had a number of backers that did were not included in our initial release email and we want to make sure that they have access to it. Second, during the final stages of placing the order with our printer we made a number of last-minute edits including a few formatting tweaks requested by the printer. We hope everyone enjoys this update, and please note that from this point forward, any future edits will go toward an eventual Errata release.

Address Changes

For those of you who ordered physical books, you still have a few weeks to change your address. We'll let you know when the final date is closer (about 1-2 weeks before) so everyone has plenty time to notify us of a change in address.
